The objective of i-house International Picture Book Readings is to introduce to non-Japanese children residing in Japan as well as Japanese children, an opportunity to experience and enjoy different international cultures as well as languages using international picture books.
Our i-house volunteers conduct international picture book readings in four languages including English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese and also hand games and sing-alongs. In addition, you will have an opportunity to enjoy reading picture books in English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.
We have launched our new project hoping that it will be a good motivation for children to further international understanding, and also will be a good opportunity for parents to interact with each other talking about problems in the everyday life or raising children.
