We are calling for foreign resident participants for the disaster prevention drill that will conducted in Suminoe Ward, Osaka City, on December 8th (Fri.).
In this drill, there will be a reception assuming that there will be foreigners coming to the evacuation center that do not understand Japanese.
The drill includes,
★Reception in foreign languages, using pointing board or interpreting software
★Explanation on how to spend your time in the evacuation center
★Tour of the equipment prepared at the evacuation center
You will be able to experience various ways how it is to be an evacuation center. You will also learn that Japanese and foreign residents need to collaborate in the evacuation center. You are requested to act as “a foreign resident who does not understand Japanese” coming to the reception and register and consult in your native language.
We recommend you to participate in disaster drills conducted by local Japan residents on a regular basis to deepen your understanding of what to do and where to go in the event of a real disaster!
Your Japanese level does not matter!
