We are looking for foreigners to participate in disaster prevention trainings to be held in various places in Osaka City!
Foreigners will be expected to play the role of “people who do not understand Japanese” and to experience reception and consultations at evacuation centers in a foreign language.
Why don’t you participate in disaster prevention drills regularly to deepen mutual understanding so that you will not be in trouble when a real disaster occurs!
Your Japanese level does not matter!
★ Disaster prevention goods will be given to those who participate!
Transportation costs will also be paid. (However, up to 1,500 yen round trip)

① Sunday, November 17th, 10:40-12:30; Abeno Ward Disaster Prevention Training
Location: Tokiwa Elementary School (3-11-12 Matsuzakicho, Abeno-ku, Osaka)
Contents: Training for foreign residents to receive medical treatment, tours of fire and police vehicles, training for walking through smoke, training for putting out fires, etc. (planned)
② Tuesday, December 3rd; 13:20 – 15:10; Suminoe Ward Disaster Prevention Training
Location: Masumi Junior High School (2-2-32 Misaki, Suminoe-ku, Osaka)
Contents: Junior high school students will become evacuation center staff and practice how to respond to foreign residents.
③ Saturday, December 7th, 10:00 – 11:30 ; Kita Ward Disaster Prevention Training
Location: ① Osaka Municipal Kanboku Elementary School [to be as evacuation center] (9-5 Kanboku, Kita-ku, Osaka)
② Kita Ward Office – Disaster Volunteer Center (2-1-17 Oogimachi, Kita-ku, Osaka)
*Meeting place will be confirmed later.
Contents: Training for foreign residents to register at reception of evacuation center.
④ Sunday, December 8th, 9:00 – 11:40; Abeno Ward Disaster Prevention Training
Location: Abeno Elementary School (2-17-21 Hannan-cho, Abeno-ku, Osaka)
Contents: Reception training for foreign residents, tours of fire and police vehicles, training to walk through smoke, training to put out fires, etc. (planned)
⑤ Saturday, December 14th, 9:00 – 12:00 (planned) ; Hirano Ward Disaster Prevention Training
Location: Hirano Ward Office (3-8-19 Setoguchi, Hirano-ku, Osaka)
Contents: Training to walk through smoke, training to put out fires, etc. (planned)
