Suspension of Certain Services Within the Information Center

To prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, we will be suspending the use of the “Book Corner”, “Information Board”, “Materials Corner” and “Computer/Video Corner” from March 3 (Tuesday) to March 20 (Friday/holiday).

The Information Counter for Foreign Residents will be open as scheduled.

If it would be necessary to extend the period due to the current situation, we would announce it on our homepage.

We will make a buckwheat noodle with communicating with Japanese as well as foreigners.

When a huge disaster occurs, Osaka International House will set up a “Disaster Multilingual Support Center” where we will distribute the information in foreign languages and offer consultation services to foreigners.
You can also help foreigners around you with the language you can speak.
Especially, international students or those who work in places where you meet tourists, such as convenience stores, shops, hotels etc., please participate in this training.

Outbreak of Pneumonia in Wuhan, China, Related to the Novel Coronavirus.

Since December last year, there has been an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan, China, believed to be caused by the novel corona virus.
Those who have been to Wuhan, China the past 2 weeks are advised to be careful of the following:

・If you develop a cough and fever, wear a mask and call the hospital before you go to the doctor for an examination.
・When you have your examination, please say that you have been to Wuhan.

You do not have to be very worried about the novel corona virus, but it is the season of colds and flu. Wear a mask, wash your hands and take care not to infect others.

【This event is cancelled to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.】

We will be holding a “Pre-school for Children of Foreign Roots “ for children who are about to enroll in elementary school in April 2020.

Children will enjoy learning about school rules (cleaning and lunch) and Japanese language used in school (parts of the body, numbers, location, etc.)

Fathers and mothers are encouraged to come and learn about elementary school.

Children who do not understand Japanese can also participate.

Prepare before going to elementary school and have a fun life at school.

Apply for either ① or ② (the content is the same.)
