This course teaches the Japanese language necessary for daily life in Japan.
The course focuses on conversational Japanese, covering beginner to intermediate levels essential for daily living.
Starting this year, this course is organized by International House Foundation, Osaka, and implemented in cooperation with JASSO Osaka Japanese Language Education Center.
This course is taught by instructors from JASSO Osaka Japanese Language Education Center.
Let’s learn the Japanese language necessary for living in Japan and developing the communication skills needed to live comfortably and securely in your community.
1. Course Content
All classes are conducted in person.
*There are no online classes (WEB classes).
<Target Participants>
Foreigners who do not speak Japanese or those aiming to improve their conversational Japanese.
*As a rule, applicants must be 16 years of age or older (high school students) and reside or work in Osaka.
*Applicants must be able to attend classes without interruption during the course period.
<Course Period>
The summer course will run from July 8th, 2026 (Wednesday) to September 30th, 2026 (Wednesday).
The autumn course is scheduled from October 2026 to December 2026.
The winter course is scheduled from January 2027 to March 2027.
<Class Time>
Two periods per day (50 minutes x 2 periods)

<Course Fees>
* Morning/Afternoon Classes: ¥30,000 each (including materials)
* Evening Class: ¥12,000 (including materials)

2. Application Method
<Application Period>
Summer Course: June 19th (Fri) to July 3rd (Fri), 2026
Autumn Course: Scheduled for September 2026
Winter Course: Scheduled for December 2026
<Application Requirements>
Applicants must possess a valid residence status that will continue throughout the course period.
<Application Method>
In addition to your name, you will need to enter your residence card number, residence status (i.e. visa type), date of entry into Japan, and email address. Please have your residence card ready.
Please note that class changes are not permitted after application.

*There is no Japanese language level check prior to applying for classes. Classes will be assigned based on the applicant’s preference, and changes are not permitted after application.

* After the class-participants are selected, please be aware that we will share student-information with JASSO Osaka Japanese Language Education Center only for the purposes of the operation of the course.
