The Jumin-hyo, or residence registry, is a certificate of residence indicating the name, address, etc. of each resident, based on the information recorded in the Basic Resident Registration.  In Osaka City, there are two types of Jumin-hyo:  one by household (for all the members of the household), and another for each person individually.
