This is an online (Zoom) class for those studying Japanese for the first time. Would you like to take a general course to study general Japanese communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) that will be needed for daily life? This course uses materials from the Irodori Japanese Online Course.
※Learners will need to actively self-study to improve such as by previewing and reviewing course materials.

Elementary Class (20 lessons): January 12 – March 25 (No class on February 11 and February 23)
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM.
Course Details
The General Course covers the content below from IRODORI Japanese Online Course
Starter Class: IRODORI – Starter (A1) Lessons 1 – 14
Elementary Class: IRODORI – Starter (A1) Lessons 15 – 18, Elementary (A2) Lessons 1 – 10
Class Length
90 minutes every Zoom class
Requirements for Participation (must meet ALL requirements)

- Someone learning Japanese for the first time or Someone Osaka International House has recommended to take the Starter Class based on the result of the Level Check Form.
- Must live or work in Osaka City and also be able to attend in-person classes on Tue. October 13, Tue. November 10, Tue. December 22, Thu. February 18, and Thu. March 25 held at Osaka International House.
- Must be able to attend all 40 lessons (20 lessons x 2 class levels)
- Must be able to join online Zoom lessons at home or a private space from a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
- Must be able to preview and review lesson materials at home.

15 participants per class
Course Fees
5000 yen for each class (20 lessons included)
Payment must be made in cash at the first orientation session on Tuesday, October 13.
※There are no refunds in the event of absences or withdrawal from the course.
How to Sign Up
Please complete both forms ① (Course Application Form) and ② (Level Check Form) below.
The participants will not be selected on a first come, first serve basis.
Instead, they will be selected considering the level check results and other conditions.
We will inform applicants about acceptance starting Monday, October 5.
Application period: Tuesday, September 15 – Sunday, October 4.
